They say that you can't teach an old dog new tricks. I don't buy it. I mean, just the other day I learned that cocktails only became popular during the prohibition era, since it was easier to mask the alcohol that way. So why not take a classic cocktail and teach it a new trick or two?
Welcome to another episode of the Balsamic Bartender. I'm your host, Logan. Today, we're going to take the classic and tasty whiskey sour and pour some new life into it. With a little bit of Meyer Lemon sugar and Balsamic Vinegar, this lemony drink gets a kick in the pants that'll get this old man dancing like an eighteen year old.
Now, this recipe is extremely complicated so listen close and try to keep up. Take all of the ingredients and pour them into your trusty cocktail shaker. Then fill it with ice, and shake until chilled. Strain that into a chilled cocktail glass, or a glass filled with ice, and then garnish with your orange slice.
Did you get all that? I know, it was pretty intense. Anyway, now that you're cocktail is nice and chilled, try enjoying it with an oven roasted tenderloin and some mashed potatoes.
